According to Boseph it is to clean up a nagging injury that has been bugging him since High School. Sorry if already posted. Sounds like he will only be out two weeks. Need to get his, and Johnnys knee's 100% before they take the reigns.

Sounds like a scope job - maybe clean up some cartilage. Young guy like Tommy - won't slow him down much.

Thanks for the info, FC!

How many times have we seen this. A top recruit comes in and shows the staff what he's got and is shelved for a short time while he gets physically repaired. Even Suh was tuned up before unleashed. Couldn't count the times a player came back whole and excelled. Just part of the assembly line experience. He was going to be redshirted anyway and this is the perfect time to perfect his assets.

It's hard to be a tough athlete and not have some bumps and bruises. Much rather have the "clean-up" happen now so he has lots of time to heal and prepare for next season. I am kind of thinking $6 Million Man rebuild. Prayers go out to him as really there is no such thing as an easy surgery.

Great time to get it taken care of. He should be ready for increased practice before the bowl game, and be 110% come spring time!!
