Time to Go for an Experienced Offensive Staff

Even better. A super expensive accoutrement to ensure lofty results on the field.

Yeah I know, but the illusion of it caused our guys to scramble for it

McGuire is not cut out for this job, he’s going to be great someday, but for now, he’s a liability coaching a position he’s never played/coached. I don’t care if they have to offer Brian Hartline $2M a year to come coach the receivers. Keep Holgorsen at all costs, and find a running back coach that can develop every back in his room. Fire Thomas and Satt, promote Holgorsen to QB coach also, and find a guy who can recruit AND develop TEs

I think WR, RB, and ST all need to be upgraded. I’m hoping Holgorsen can stick around as OC/QB coach and help put this puzzle together. I agree with those who say Nebraska shouldn’t be a training ground for coaches—this is a program that needs experienced staff who can hit the ground running. I was really impressed with how Rhule made the necessary OC change, and he did it during the season. Do you think we could see similar quick moves to assemble a new staff and get it done fast for the bowl game preparation, transfer portal, and early signing periods? That might not be possible, but it’s not common to see someone step into a program and take over play calling midseason either.

Absolutely agree. To me this isn't a coaching issue. Returner made a mistake which happens the rest was effort.
The returner has to Communicate to everyone else to stay away that doesn't seemed to have happened, especially concerning in game 12 from a senior returner
