Tickets for Friday?

So I'm not a season ticket holder but I am signed up for notifications and emails from Huskers.com.

I have been checking 3rd party sites and the official huskers website every day for the past 3 weeks for tickets and at no point were there ever tickets available aside from it looks like I can purchase 2 standing room tickets ( I need either 1 or 3 and it won't let me purchase anything except for 2 on the official site).

So I called the box office and they said they are already sold out. I don't know enough about buying tickets to know this answer but if the regional location wasn't even announced until yesterday then how could all of the tickets be already completely sold out?

Anyone know how I can maybe get a single ticket?

Thanks in advance.

Never pass up a ticket if you want one is the lesson to learn. You should have bought two (or two twice if possible) of the SRO and then sold one. The third party sites now have a few tickets available, but it looks like it will cost you about $250 each.
The vast number of tickets were sold to season ticket holders early on a conditional basis, since it was a 98% certainty to happen.

Thank you for this explanation. They were never less than 250 I've been checking everyday. And they continue to have SRO.

I guess I can still get one I'm on the fence....

When I called the box office the lady I spoke with said that they were not all sold to season ticket holders but maybe she just didn't know because she said they were sold in a tiered system and that they weren't all sold through season ticket holders but I told her I never saw anything other than standing room available to general public and she said that it's because they were sold out. I think she was wrong though because there was never anything available other than standing room only at any point in time.

I just wasn't sure if maybe I was missing something because I have very little experience with purchasing tickets.

Nothing wrong with the Standing only tickets, depending upon the price.

Several years ago, when one of my daughters was a high schooler and exploring colleges, she convinced me to take her to visit Nebraska. We live in the Pittsburgh area, so I hadn’t been back in years and not very familiar with the ticket demand for women’s volleyball. We visited the campus on Friday and then took in a football game during the day Saturday and a volleyball game that evening. Planning ahead, I purchased two football tickets online assuming we would just purchase volleyball tickets at the ticket-gate that evening.

Following a rare win in football that afternoon (Northwestern - Scott Frost era) , we headed over to the Bob for some volleyball. I walk up to the ticket-gate and naively ask for two tickets - the ticket agent chuckles and says, “honey I don’t have any tickets, we’re sold out the for next two years”.

At the time my daughter was playing high school volleyball on a team that finished ranked in the top 20 nationally, so she was beside herself, as this game was more interesting to her than the gridiron. Fortunately there were a lot of people offering tickets for sale near the gate. I ended up buying two standing room seats, so all ended well, but it was an eye opener for me.

As I said, the standing only seats are actually pretty good but, if I recall correctly, I only paid about $20 a piece for those tickets rather than the $250 you noted. Good luck and GBR!
