When my brother was in college he had an aquarium, and for at least a couple of summers he caught a small bass in the spring to keep in the aquarium throughout the summer. It was fascinating. We had minnows that we'd release into the tanks, and they'd mow them all down as quickly as possible. If we'd drop in a dozen or more, the bass would be unable to focus on one to single out to eat, but if we did anything to injure a minnow, he was toast, immediately.
