Smothers was smothered by much better talent, he was never going to start for Nebraska. I hope he lands at a school he can play for. Best of LUCK to him moving forward.
I saw that to and initially thought crap a week ago we had 6 and now 2 but thankfully holding at 3.
He was better than Purdy last season … and he (LS) fits this offense better than some.

Let’s not evaluate anyone on last year it was a coaching disaster. Joseph and company did a good job with what they were left to coach. Just an absolute miserable season.
No argument there but lots of evaluations going on about O-Line, backup QB, and so forth based on last year. Purdy did not look the part in anyway shape or form.
