Take your two pieces of bread and toast them in your pop-up toaster. Then slap your American cheese on it, and microwave for 10/12 seconds. Lightly butter if desired.

We grilled them and put a slice or two of tomatoes on them and served them open face. In the good times, when the crops came in good, we put a couple of slcices of bacon on them. We started with Wonder Bread but over time switched to different kinds of more tasty bread.
