The 2026 season is underway

Nebraska starts on Thursday, but we've already seen some action.

Louisville took Texas A&M 3-1, and Kentucky swept Wisconsin 3-0. Wisconsin gets Louisville next, could they start 0-2? I believe I read Wisconsin will play every team that is currently in the top 10.

I watched pieces of AZ State and Texas. Neither team was what we might call sharp, understandably. Still, Texas looked a little flat. The Wildcat are pumped for the season to start for sure.

I watched a video from some gal on Tik Tok talking about it. She talked about all the service errors from Texas, said the 6-2 wasn't working and needed to go back to the 5-1, and talked about a certain player not playing for whatever reason. I don't know if she knows what she's talking about.

Kentucky Pitt should be interesting, and SMU Texas A&M might tell us something about both teams.

I saw them win the final four last year in KC. They had an unbelievable block at the net that just suffocated their opponents.

Probably a little of both. A&M has nine new players on this year’s team. They will probably get better as the season goes along, but I seriously doubt they will repeat as national champs. SMU is good, but not great. SMU’s win was due more to A&M’s incompetence than SMU’s dominance.

Also, A&M was playing this weekend without Kendall Stowers, their best player, who is out with a back injury. Not sure when she will return. They are going to struggle without her.

Marquette took Texas to with Texas winning 3-2.
