Tennessee loses qb

Oregon Ducks said it wasn't interested. Good.

I read an article that said it was Oregon that told Tennessee he was sniffing around to see if he could get more money.

If that is true we need more of that.

I think it is awesome what Tennessee did. Good for them. And they did it immediately. It will be very telling about the team that picks him up. Personally I wouldn’t touch him with a 100 foot pole. He’s toxic.

A player at Florida State held out last year. Or maybe 2023. But it is part of the future. The players problem is college football fans are different than NFL fans. We will not rally around someone who is part of the demise of our favorite sport. Loyalty to the school trumps win at all costs...in most cases. I know, I know there are many who want the wins by any means necessary but my opinion (and perhaps it is wishful thinking) if a player is getting $2m and want $4m most fans will look at that and consider the macro effect then say what Tennessee said, "Next man up!"
There is some truth to what you are saying. The problem is that the NIL money is coming from "fans". who happen to have allot of money to give. If the teams wins like Ohio State, and even here, the other fans like myself, will jump on board. Not disagreeing with your point at all. I just know, as I am sure you do also, that when programs are winning, fans seem to look the other way.

I think there is a lot of truth to what you say here. It’s basic human nature unfortunately
