Tackling

Through the first 3 games the tackling has been better than many years in the past. However, last week there seemed to be a return to not wrapping up. I hope this was addressed during this weeks practices.
I'm sure guys are banged up. It's way harder to tackle properly when you're hurting.

Definitely a topic discussed in some of the coaches shows/pressers. No, we weren't as sharp last week, but the overall trend including last week is MARKED IMPROVEMENT in the tackling game.

Tackling and ST's (minus the one return) has drastically improved imo.

We shall see this week however.

Let's give some credit to the other team.

La Tech's WR were the most athletic we have seen in the first four games, including CU.

Steele said they would be and they were.

Only Tucker for CU was as good.

Definitely had some slippery guys, no doubt. "Smoke" was a major pain in the butt. Loved watching him.

But overall, tackling has been some of the best I've seen at Nebraska in years. Many years.

Of course, we may see the opposite this week, but this is a game I'm not getting worked up over if we do indeed get gashed. I'm expecting it, especially in the 2nd half.

Reimer and likely Lenhart not playing......

Yep, although if you look at Michigan's four games, they have the same number of INT's in almost the same number of attempts that we do, so there is some hope.

Keep in mind, all 3 INTs came in the same game against a crappy opponent. So go figure.

JJ is a very good quarterback with elite accuracy. He's going to be tough to handle. Going back and watching the Rutgers game, he can make all the throws and he is sneaky quick if he breaks contain.
