About the "baddest" car I've owned is a kia (nice little commuter back in the day... carless now). however, i have rented a few pretty cool cars, though, and I will admit that I floored it.... of course I was about 23. it's a pretty cool feeling... wasn't really trying to show off, but it was fun.
you'd probably consider this a case in point.
have you ever driven a sports car or muscle car?
Sports car...yes. "Muscle car"? No. Ok, who hasn't peeled out at some point? I am just going to assume you know who I'm talking about. Guys who do it all the time in their Trans Ams or Camero's or whatever. They generally have a mullet.
How about this amendment...if you do it more than once a year you're a dork?
Hahahaha.
Good lord.
Talk about a "what have you done for me lately" mentality.
His personal life is not a mess. The girl had a chance to state she needed an ambulance when the police were on the scene. It was only after she tried to get her hospital bills paid that she came up with this latest version (it also sounds un-surprisingly coached... don't think for a second a lawyer did not contact her almost immediately).
As far as the taxi cab inconsistency, that's common in any eye witness situation.
Who among us didn't drive like an idiot in our early 20s? Especially when driving a cool car?
Personal life's a mess.... ridiculous and unfair characterization.
The Suh Retired Police Home for Portland Officers and Family will be unveiled Saturday morning in a special ceremony.................
Having worked auto injury claims for the better part of 6 years (nothing I want to revisit) I would agree that there are a lot of money mongers out there, and ambulance chasing attorneys. Wouldn't be willing to say that about this or to not say it for that matter. Just not a lot of info. However, the pictures show some objective injuries, this isn't the subjective soft tissue stuff you see a lot. Now, whether or not her story about telling him she needed an ambulance, we will never know.
Look, I think Suh is a good guy, but the more stuff like this that comes out the worse it looks for him. The on-field issues then this, which wasn't his first late-night/early-morning accident. I think some of us are just saying, dude, lay low for a bit, get some things under control while you still can. Don't put yourself in this position.
Congrats. :cheers:I "want" a sienna too. baby #3 on the way...
from the article: She eventually walked down the street and had her husband pick her up and take her to Oregon Health and Science University for treatment.
someone's got some splainin' to d
I'd say the cut above her eye and future scar is worth between 20-40k, depending on if they called in a plastic surgeon in the emergency room.
I caught that and this...
"The woman said she was injured in the crash and on Monday, she had a cut upper eyebrow which required stitches, a black eye and a busted lip.
A second passenger backed up her claims but did not want to speak on camera."
???? Might this be the same woman who had to 'splain to her hubby what she was doing with Suh ?????
Any one of the witnesses can change a little emphasis here and there.
I smell something fishy (and some truth in the incident)...probably a little of both on everyone's involved part....
Good points, but the underlying issue is that Suh's behavior has been pretty 'off' lately. How many of us have wrapped a car around a tree? Rear-ending someone at a stop-light is common. Hitting a tree unless you're driving recklessly isn't. And we all know what his on the field play is like.
To this mid-grade Army Officer, these seem like indicators of some kind of problem that needs counseling. Were he one of my Soldiers I would have referred him to Community Mental Health Services for an independent, professional opinion. Maybe there's no there there. I hope he's just a cocky 26 year old with more money than I'll ever see who needs a grown up to mentor him. Vandenbosch might be a good choice for that.
