Stronger and Leaner

So what do you want Matt Rhule to say when the mic is in his face and he's asked about the program? This?

"Look, we aren't trying to be great here; we're just aiming to be perfectly, uncomfortably mediocre."
That or, we are trying not to suck.

If I remember correctly, especially two years ago some of the teams we played were mainly players who had been in college 5-7 years. The Michigan team comes to mind. There is a huge difference between a college freshman and a college senior...let alone the "super senior". I wonder if the size and strength difference was a contributing factor to our abysmal 4th quarter stats the last couple years.

You are spot on sir. I would look at the depth charts of each opponent before we played them and it was uncanny how often that happened throughout the season. And I remembered specifically Michigan having like 9 or 10 starters being seniors and another 3 or 4 in a backup role. We would start 3 or four seniors and then have sophomores and redshirt freshmen in there against these monsters. But now my friends it’s our turn to be experienced.
We are almost to the point of reloading every year if we can continue to hold onto players and develop them in the system.

One other component to add that's vital, is a veteran QB.
