After games in late May, Washington Nationals Park will host Springsteen on May 27, and cover the field in a couple of days with thick, interlocking plastic. When the Nats return a week later, the grass will look pristine. They have done this for years, letting tens of thousands on the field for in season concerts. So yes, it can be done. Thanks for the input. I like the ability to quickly put it down and take it up, but more questiions.
Is it a surface people can safely walk on?
How durable is it to foot traffic?
Will it actually protect the grass field underneath?
I really like the idea of having a grass field again. And from what I have read on this website, it sounds like recruits like the idea also. Anything to help the team win while keeping the books in the black.![]()
