My son send him a couple cards in the mail last year in hopes to get them back signed. I added some husker flair to the outside of envelope. He sent 1 back signed this spring. Super excited. Going to do the same thing to Brice Matthews too.

He did OK….had a home run off him on a bad pitch….got a bit rattled and hit a guy…..
Then settled in.
5 innings
Got zero bat support from the Braves unfortunately.
Hope he showed “enough” that the Braves keep him up in the Bigs.
A lot of the pro teams call up and down pitchers constantly…
Keep them for a few days then back down so they don’t have to pay the Major League minimum.
My Orioles do this constantly with their Triple A Norfolk Team….
Several pitchers wind up with 2-3 trips a year….
Buuuuut they MADE IT to the Bigs…..and if they show something the team likes….they stay!
Hope Schwelly does well. What a superb player for Nebraska! One of my all time favorites.
