Iowa is garbage... they are as good as they will ever be. If Rhule does the right things going forward, this is a double digit win most years going forward.
Everything in our favor... except missed FGs and turnovers.
it's crazy to think but the last two coaches to Beat Iowa were Bo Pelini and Mickey JosephIowa is garbage... they are as good as they will ever be. If Rhule does the right things going forward, this is a double digit win most years going forward.
Both on the road. I truly believe that if Rhule builds this correctly, the Iowa series will be lopsided going forward. Ferentz has been there for 25+ years and he's barely beating Rhule who's in year 2.it's crazy to think but the last two coaches to Beat Iowa were Bo Pelini and Mickey Joseph
No one knows what Nebraska works on with ST. It is a great mystery. From the Iowa placekicker post game . . .
“I don’t know what Nebraska works on, but we don’t muff punts at Iowa.”
Should've been last night.Iowa is garbage... they are as good as they will ever be. If Rhule does the right things going forward, this is a double digit win most years going forward.
I don’t fault Shavers he was trying to make a play for a teammate. Still think the Iowa defender touched the ball first. No clue . . . but it's all coaching.
I love Shavers as a player and he'll be great . . . but what the hell is a FR LB doing on special teams in a game like this? You need experienced players and probably ones more used to blocking for returns.
Hohl had issues but damm I had more trust in him as a walk on then Alavano who is on Scholarship and been really poorI am not sure why ICG was ever returning punts. He supposedly had solid hands and was a good decision maker. He was simply average until the last two games and when needed most he was poor.
Hohl choked when it mattered most. Yeah, poor snap but there was enough time to make the kick. He started out the year very poorly, righted himself and then of course when needed most …
Not saying much.Hohl had issues but damm I had more trust in him as a walk on then Alavano who is on Scholarship and been really poor
I don't see how you can even remotely say Hohl choked there. That was an absolutely terrible snap. Was a miracle that Buschini managed to corral it at all and get a tip on the grass. But that snap hosed the whole thing and the ball placement, as a result, wasn't great. The timing was VERY late because of that and very few kickers would be expected to overcome that. Much less one that's had crappy snaps hose up kicks repeatedly.I am not sure why ICG was ever returning punts. He supposedly had solid hands and was a good decision maker. i agree terrible snapping caused most of this problems early in the year. once they were lined out he has been pretrty darn good. Why we don't have a long snapper is a freaken mystery thoughI don't see how you can even remotely say Hohl choked there. That was an absolutely terrible snap. That's not Harrison Butker or Brandon McManus back there.
