1st oddity is that there are 5 B1G teams playing on the same day. Is that a record for one conference?

Secondly, all five teams are underdogs:

Penn St.
Houston -6

Mich. St.
Ga. -3.5

Nebraska
So. Car. -2.5

Flor. -2
Ohio St.

Wisc.
Oregon -6

Just seems kind of weird to me.

The blanket underdog label goes hand in hand with the national perception that the B1G is weak this year.

Last year the B1G went 3-5. This year I think they go 5-5 for a slight improvement.

Here's how I see it for the Big Ten. Only two games are gimmes, a Purdue win and Iowa losing to Oklahoma. The remaining 8 games are up for grabs.

I like Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan State, Michigan, and Nebraska, which would put the BigTen at 5/5 overall.

Gimmes:
Purdue v. Western Michigan

Winnable (50/50):
Northwestern v. Texas A&M
Illinois v. UCLA
Penn State v. Houston
Michigan State v. Georgia
Nebraska v. South Carolina
Ohio State v. Florida
Wisconsin v. Oregon
Michigan v. Virginia Tech

Needs a Miracle:
Iowa v. Oklahoma

Wouldn't that be 6-4?

I'd go for that.

Three of the lines were set as they are due to SEC perception and the fact that just last season, the SEC owned the Big Ten in bowl game matchups.
