IMO, Stoops would have a good impact on recruiting for the D side of the ball.

Whomever Bo hires I hope he is a coach/teacher versus just a recruiter. By that I mean during the Cally years that staff sure recruited some good talent but it seems they couldn't coach the talent. It is like the chicken vs the egg. Do you want talent and hope to heck you can coach them or do you want a raw product and teach them how to play?

Obviously a good balance is perfect but they may be hard to find.

Sip has some good point about league competition. Even if Stoops would be a short-timer, what he may bring to the program in know-how and motivation could be an elevator. JP would learn from another perspective too -- may be DC in waiting status.

The more I think about it the more I like the idea of Stoops over Papuchis or anyone else. Get it done Bo!

Me too! Or Larry Johnson Sr, or Ron Zook! Doubt Zook is even a candidate, but LJ Sr may be one!

While I agree, Stoops would be a great hire and fit in well with the staff...it just doesn't seem like Nebraska's style to go after a high priced coordinator. I hope it happens, but just doesn't seem like something Nebraska would actually do.
