Okoboji had Walleye Weekend last week. Sort of the Iowa Great Lakes opener, big fishing contest for almost every species. Estimated over 15k showed up for it. Sort of fun at night to see all the boat lights out on the lake.

Okoboji had Walleye Weekend last week. Sort of the Iowa Great Lakes opener, big fishing contest for almost every species. Estimated over 15k showed up for it. Sort of fun at night to see all the boat lights out on the lake.

Yea, with over 13000 lakes up here, they end up all over. The southern lakes are much like Okoboji while often the northern lakes are sometimes still froze or delayed a week for spawning runs.

I'll wait, plenty of time for fishing, get a lake to myself.
