Seriously looking at leaving this site

The navigation and ads are making it almost impossible. I have a pop up on the bottom of the page that when trying to type a quoted reply it jumps up and covers the typing area. I have to close out just to see what I’m typing. Then 5 seconds later it pops right back up. More often then not the “X” you have to hit is so small it thinks you are hitting the link and takes you to their page. And if you take too long to write your reply this site reboots and you lose what you typed. I get it that ads pay the bills but at what cost to the user.

There are several others that quit coming to this site, just for that reason.

An interesting parallel: Users (myself included) are leaving Microsoft Windows in (relative) droves to Linux bases systems, especially in Europe, mostly over concerns about data security and privacy, but also because people are tired of an OS that behaves like a delivery mechanism for ads.
My guess is the navigation issues are due to a shortcoming of the platform itself, especially if the problem "pops up" on your phone (see what I did there,) but I could be wrong.

This is still going on. As you can see if you type anything over 3 lines on here the caption box starts getting covered up. You can try to x out to close it but the close x is so small that half the time you end up getting directed to another site. If you do manage to get it closed it comes back after about 5 more key strokes.
