Sellout Streak in Jeopardy?

They're charging too much for them. They had Indiana tickets available a few weeks ago, but the prices were 150-ish and up.
I was about to agree with this... But are you talking about the ticket office, or the aftermarket? I figure SeatGeek prices are starting out high -- but those tickets are already sold by NU. Is face value that high for the unsold tickets?

I guess we as a fan base have become a bunch of fair weather losers. Pitiful. I would be more excited to see the big games -- with the eternal hope that we have a good chance to knock them off.

And are these people not watching the games? Have the first 4 games not given them hope that we are not the same team as the last several years?
People are apprehensive, they’ve seen this song before. They’ve beaten no one with a heartbeat. Will there be another verse added to this song? Remains to be seen, but the fans are fed up with the losing. Have to keep winning. The fans have been the most loyal fans around, and for you to say they are fair weather, is total BS.

I will continue to say that a good chunk of our fans are fair weather fans. I joined this board after the 2012 NW game, for the specific purpose of calling out the "fans" who stopped cheering after NW scored to go ahead.

(I began yelling louder; so much so that - after we won the game - people around me were complimenting me on getting the crowd going.)

That was the price directly through the university ticket office, not third party resellers.

Name another fanbase that would continue a sellout streak over the course of so many losing seasons and one of the worst ranked team losing streaks in all of college football. It's a big ask to have fans pay $161 per ticket to sit in the end zone and watch Curt Cignetti administer another football lesson to HCMR.

Things have changed. We are an aging fanbase. The kids mostly don’t care and if they do it’s for the bigger games. Can you blame them? When I say kids I’m including people in their twenties. They’ve never seen a true champion. Look what basketball did last year. If they start winning big games, the fans will start to care again. To be honest I know a lot of older people that just don’t care as much anymore. It’s very hard to invest a whole Saturday to something that never gives them a reward. The nineties are completely irrelevant, hell the Pelini years are ancient history.

Count me in on not caring as much, im not alone.
Huskers sucked for so long. Prices keep going up.
I think people had enough.

Maybe it will change if they can get 10 wins.
Dont think 9 will do it

3-9, 4-8, 5-7 teams don’t draw 85,000+ fans that are fair weather. At most places, that attendance would be 58,400 with tons of empty seats. Nebraska fans are extremely loyal. I’m sure there could be some fair weather fans out there, but mostly, NU has fans who care.
