Sellout Streak in Jeopardy?

Below is a graphic from the report, showing that, according to their source, tickets sales are indeed down about 10K per game. Stadium capacity is ~82K.

The video is from a legacy Channel 6 News broadcast, not an Internet "influencer." Sean Callahan publishes/owns On3.com, and is more likely in need of actual click counts than Channel 6. (I'm not saying Channel 6 doesn't need to sell beer, but their target audiences are different, thus, so are their methodologies.)

Recently, I've received several package offers from huskers.com:
  • 2 tickets for $50
  • 4 tickets for $100 ("we've reduced our prices")
  • 1 ticket to each of the non-conference games for $100.
  • 4 tickets to the Bowling Green game for $160 that includes a $40 concession voucher.
My brother tells me when he went to order the last package, he wasn't able to select from available seats. That's a Big Red flag in my book--I'm guessing they're probably obstructed view seats. (Enjoy your hot dog and view of a concrete post.)

i dont trust the local news. they are shockingly very different then 10 years ago. not in a good way either...

Those numbers are about 3 weeks old at this point. Would be interesting to see where they stand now.
Sales have undoubtedly picked up by now, possibly spurred on by Channel 6's report that a cherished record was in jeopardy.

Then the Athletic Department deserves kudos for releasing the numbers when they did.

The sellout streak ended for me on 9/10/05. I had 2 extra tickets for the Wake Forest game that day. I couldn’t even give them away.

Was that the field goal block party game?
I don’t remember alot about the game. It was a beautiful warm day and we won. The ticket office was offering single game tickets for the game that season. I don’t remember them doing it before, except maybe the visitors returned some? I was in South.

We also used to have the record for the most Academic All-Americans, but I believe Stanford passed us some time ago without much public notice.
