Sellout Streak in Jeopardy?

Looks like for the Bowling Green and Ohio game the only remaining seats are in each of the end zones. When I looked at tickets a few weeks ago, most of the stuff on the sidelines was in the "Obstructed View" zone.

It circles back to why the stadium renovations are needed. A lot of people want to not be uncomfortable when they go watch a game and want to be able to see what is going on if they're going to spend hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars to go.

Donating a full day to drive, park, watch a mediocre product, rinse and repeat… it’s an increasingly tougher sell.

Win.
Yep. Since 1962, the fans knew they'd be watching one of the best teams in the country. That hasn't been the case for a long time. We need to get back to 9+ wins on a regular basis, with an argument to be in the CFP most years.

I personally don't want the streak to end. We had so many wonderful streaks (consecutive bowl games, consecutive winning seasons, consecutive 9+ win seasons, etc.) that went by the wayside, and this is the last one left. Being the most devoted fan base in the country is something to be proud of. That said, I agree with those who say that performance has to improve or the streak will inevitably end. Our patience is not unlimited.
I'd hate to see it end for one or two games. If they need to prop it up for Ohio or BG or ND, fine. But hopefully we see some real change that gets fans excited again. We need it.

True, but when I started going in the 80's, we didn't care if we were uncomfortable for 3 hours (e.g. 5 people sitting in the space of 3 seats) because we were watching a championship team.

It is one of the last things the football team (and older fans) can hang on to from the glory years, so I'd hate to see it end too. At least it's a record that's not likely to be broken. IF the streak makes it through this year and the team pulls off an 8 or even a 9 win season with a great upset or two, the streak will probably continue for a while. If it ends and the team looks bad again, look for 40-50k butts in seats as the year wears on.

They are, but not for one more season. Nebraska really needs to win, to breakout. CFB is better with a healthy Nebraska. Zero reason they can’t be highly competitive.

He is just stirring the pot. ;)

"We'll all stick together, in all kinds of weather, for dear old Nebraska U!"

Er, no, we won't.

"Through these gates...."

Uh-huh.
