Sellout Streak in Jeopardy?

That’s simply incredible. For several seasons, I bought season tickets, but I had to buy them off of eBay and for $ thousands. You couldn’t get them from the university - sold out always. That was back in the Big 12 days, and I made the 1400 mild round trip from Amarillo MANY times!
 
Sure many Husker fans would like to keep sellout streak alive. However those sellouts were earned by all the great Husker teams fielded through the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s! We sadly know that ended in the 2000’s. Our fans have remained incredibly loyal despite 20+ years of frustration on the field. I wonder if we even deserve sellouts anymore? I’ve been proud of our sellout streak (yes I know games have been played to keep it alive) but if it ends... it ends! Nebraska football is in DIRE NEED of many successful seasons now. I also don’t consider going 7-6 a great accomplishment!

I believe the number of tickets still unsold at this date will probably mean the end of the sellout streak this season. Always remember that... The true constant in life.... is change......
 
I personally don't want the streak to end. We had so many wonderful streaks (consecutive bowl games, consecutive winning seasons, consecutive 9+ win seasons, etc.) that went by the wayside, and this is the last one left. Being the most devoted fan base in the country is something to be proud of. That said, I agree with those who say that performance has to improve or the streak will inevitably end. Our patience is not unlimited.
