CU was 7-13 in conference.
Didn't even make the Big East conference tournament.
Oh wow I did not realize they were that bad considering they swept us this year. Thank you for the info.
We had a number of lousy teams beat us in mdweek games.
Again, losing to bad teams in midweek games is the only reason we are not hosting.
If we get through the regionals, we will be in Omaha.

Creighton played us extremely tough…won a series against a good Baseball school, Stanford in California….and had a ton of wins against much lesser competition….
And for some strange reason absolutely stunk against teams in their conference. (And it's not a “tough baseball conference”…)

I think Florida is better than some think. If the RPI means something for NU, then it means something for Florida.. they are ranked 30, despite their record.
This will be a very hard, but good test.
I hope I did not imply that it would be easy.
Florida is SEC and that is bar none the best baseball conference in the country.
but at the same time, I stand by that I think Nebraska can beat anybody on any given day.
Dont get rattled, play our game, and carefully pitch their big hitters.
Florida is much like Arkansas has been the last few years. They live and die the long ball.
Arkansas has been successful with that for several years now
It was not nearly as successful for Florida this year.

Hate to say it, but I don't see NU winning.. they beat #4 A&M 2 out of 3, they beat #5 LSU 2 out of 3, they also beat #21 Mississippi State 2 out of 3. 1 out of 3 against #2 Arkansas, 1 out of 3 from #3 Vols, 1 out of 3 from #4 Kentucky, 2 out of 3 from #9 GA.
Florida is battle tested, much more so than NU.. NU has 0 games against top 10 teams.

A lot of the conventional wisdom goes out the window.
Get in….get hot….avoid errors and mistakes is what matters.
Nebraska has the potential to beat anyone in a Tourney. Their starting pitching is that good.
Big Ten a weaker conference is true, But just 3 years ago we were 5 outs from eliminating the #1 team in the country. The very next year Michigan was 6 outs from winning the CWS.
It all boils down to who shows up….and stays hot.
Baseballs is so unpredictable.
My only World Series game was a Nationals vs Astros up in DC.
NO ONE gave the Nats a chance to win and they lost all three home games.
BUT they stayed focused….went to Houston and won all 4 away games at Houston’s home park.
Go figure….
Baseball is just crazy! I love it!
The kids are HOT right now….comparisons mean so little this time of year. Stay hot and we will surprise.
