Honestly I thought a 4 was fair. It wasn’t just the losses down the stretch, but they got blown out by 20 multiple times. Close, competitive losses would have allowed for a stronger argument.

A 4 seed is still a great accomplishment. They have a reasonable path to the Sweet Sixteen if they play well.
We lost by 20 multiple times?

Are you arguing that those 2 losses big didn’t hurt the seeding? I’m nit nitpicking the numbers, just that point that both losses were not close and looked bad. Wasn’t the spread for UCLA like 3.5? Not sure about Purdue, but it was an upset by seeding. Nebraska never really looked like a threat to win that game.

It’s fair that Purdue was rewarded for winning the B1G tourney, if Nebraska had done the same, they’d be a 2 seed also I wager. They’d have 3 more high quality wins on the biggest stage. It’s also fair that Nebraska slipped a little bit. But a 4 seed probably means they were viewed as maybe the 13th or 14th best team. That looks like fair respect to me.

(Two is multiple!)
I think we pretty much agree. Just busting your chops on the definition of multiple, i guess.
Its like a brag to your wife. " How many chinups can you do?"
" Multiple!"

Huskers were the best 4-seed. Can't really argue Virginia since they went to the ACC title game. Maybe Gonzaga ahead of both Virginia and Nebraska could be questioned. With the S-curve, should have gotten the worst 5-seed and ended up with the best. "mshrug: But, I have done my own share of building brackets for fun and it is hard to get teams separated from conference mates.

Rather have Vandy then St John’s, Tex Tech or Wisky.

A seed would be a stretch. They would probably be a 3-seed.

This is the same group of players from that incredible stretch of wins.. if we can find that what made them tick, you better believe we can make it a long ways. Just need to find that chemistry again.

Man, I wish we could find that team again
I think if we have a great game a good win against Troy, we will gain enough confidence to have a chance. Reink has gotten some of his mojo back, that helps
