Seeding Scenarios going into the final series

I saw a few articles stating that we can't fall below 4th, even going 0-3. But following the tiebreakers, we could drop to 6th going 0-3

If we go 3-0 and Illinois 2-1, we win the tiebreak

There are scenarios where if we go 2-1, we can still finish 1st

Also, we win H2H with Purdue if we go 2-1, but lose to them if we go 1-2
 




Illinois beat Purdue, 5-4
Nebraska beat Michigan State, 2-1
Michigan split with Indiana, 3-2 and 2-11
Iowa lost non-conference to FIU, 2-1

Not sure what that does for the scenarios; but, seems to be helpful to get to the #2 spot?

1 or 2 wins locks in 1st or 2nd depending on what Illinois does. There are no more common opponent games and we win that tiebreaker. There are no 3-way tie scenarios with Illinois, so this is it for 1 or 2 wins, just need Illinois to win 1 less than us and we are 1st.

2 losses and it there are 4 possibilities

Michigan wins and Purdue loses at least one game. We would have the same common record and it would go to the RPI, which we would win. 2nd.

Indiana wins and Purdue loses at least 1 game. We won H2H - 2nd

Michigan wins and Purdue goes 2-0. Michigan 2nd, Nebraska 3rd.

Indiana wins and Purdue goes 2-0. The only common is Rutgers and we finish 4th.

Illinois won today (Friday.) So they're now 32-17, 17-6 in the Big Ten. They play tomorrow at 2 pm CT. So, win and then scoreboard watch.

Nebraska beat Michigan State, 11-3
Illinois beat Purdue, 9-4
Indiana beat Michigan, 8-4
Iowa beats FIU in non-conference, 15-2

#1 seed puts us in with a 1st game vs PSU and Michigan and Iowa.

#2 Seed and we tee off with OSU and have Illinois and Indiana in the bracket.
