Scott Frost is one of eight finalists for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award.

UCF’s Scott Frost: UCF (12-0) has its longest winning streak in program history heading into its Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl meeting against Auburn. The American Athletic Conference champions lead the nation in scoring (49.4 ppg) and are the only unbeaten team remaining in the FBS. Frost has accepted a job at his alma mater to coach the Nebraska Cornhuskers, but will coach UCF in Atlanta.

I was thinking about this the other day and wondering when COY gets announced. Seems nearly impossible to find someone more qualified.

UAB's comeback is something that's just amazing. I could see Bill Clark winning as well as Frost. I think those are the top two. I would put Teford as third.

That would be awesome if he wins it, and another feather in the cap to talk to recruits about.

Based on the list...I wouldn't be surprised to see Frost, Lincoln Riley, or Bill Clark win it.
What Riley has done is pretty amazing. My caveat to him winning is that he was already on staff, inherited a heisman QB and a talented roster with a set culture. Yes, he's new to HC'ing and had to run things well but he was placed in an ideal situation.

Frost took over a team with talent that had a horrible culture and had to instill in a new offense, etc...

Clark took over literally nothing, dude had to build it from scratch.

What's amusing is how much better off would Oregon have been making Frost their HC instead of Helfrish? Sure glad that didn't happen however...

Either would be deserving, but I bet Riley gets it getting them in the playoffs. No pals NOT Mike Riley:O O:

Yeah. I would lean toward Frost and Clark, but see those as the front runners.
