Scott Frost also said "don't take the wrong job" about what he learned from Nebraska. More on his comments from Big 12 Media Days:

Part of me thinks we all need to move on, Frost is gone and nothing will change what happened.

Another much larger part of me hopes he loses every game the rest of his career for the way he half-assed the opportunity he had here and continues to take no accountability. He had every resource he could ever need to produce a competitive football team and he decided he'd rather live like a rockstar.

He may have hated the job, but I’m pretty sure he didn’t hate leaving town with a truckload of cash. I’m sick of hearing about him but I can’t quite look away either (kind of like my ex wife). I’m not normally a negative or vindictive person, but honestly I’m hoping that he falls flat on his face.

It was the wrong job because he had to be talked into it and neither he, nor the people encouraging noticed that he wasn’t a good fit for a place like this. (Or perhaps Scott did suspect it, but was talked into it anyway.) I take Scott’s comments as him recognizing that he wasn’t a good fit. It WAS the wrong job. The wrong job for him.

Whether you call it “not up to the task” or some other euphemism, not everyone, even a decent coach, can coach under the microscope and heat lamps of a place like Nebraska.

So, ultimately, he took the job and all the cash while not having his heart in it. Cool story.

It’s obvious he really didn’t want the job.
Hard to be all-in at a job like this when your heart isn’t fully committed.
I also wonder if his wife was unhappy with coming to Lincoln.

Having said that, I hope one day he comes back when the ‘97 football team is honored.
I hope he’s remembered as one of the greatest QBs at DONU.

The wrong job that put $20M+ in his bank account?

Where are the "wrong jobs" listings for $30M gigs? :)
