Saturday tourney game report

I was at the Game on Saturday. It is 30 miles from my house and was only $19 a ticket. So I decided to go. Right next to the Nebraska Dug out. Even was able to ask a question or two of some of the staff. (Is the girl who got hit alright? Is that Rhonda's favorite song?)

A few highlights:
Started in the parking lot. Was out there when the team bus showed up. Got to give the girls a "GBR" before they went into the stadium. As well as a give em he!! Rhonda.
Was talking with a UCLA fan, nice guy. when up walks the MD stadium announcer. Told me that the B1G really wanted them to push UCLA. Not sure why?
The fans overall were split among all the teams in the tourney with just a slight edge to the Huskers. Not what I am used to.
The Game was very exciting. That HR hitter from UCLA is no joke.
The redhead from BTN is even prettier in person. Not really the right outfit for that day though. Very short mini dress that kept blowing up. She was smart enough to wear shorts underneath.
The fans not from Nebraska were definitely cheering for UCLA. I saw Michigan fans Purdue fans PSU fans. pretty universally cheering for UCLA. I feel like we made some enemies along the way.
#29 (Third Base) is one heck of a good base runner.
You can hear the difference in Frahm's pitches as compared to the UCLA pitcher.
Even when we were behind the girls kept their spirits up. You can tell they love and support each other.
After the game was one of the highlights. The girls had arranged for the song "Delta Dawn" to play over the loudspeakers. It is evidentially Rhonda's favorite. They surrounded her and all sang it to her while waving their arms.
While the singing was going on Troy Dannen (Not sure if I spelled that right.) Was standing right in front of me. I said, "Hey Troy, your department has had a pretty good year." He turned around and said, "Yes we have." I originally thought about throwing in except for football, I rethought it as during a celebration was not the right time.

Anyway. GBR

Huskerthom, thanks for posting something positive on the football thread, even if it was about softball. It may get a lot more views here than over on the softball page. Maybe leave it here for a day.

I moved it, left a 4 hour expiring redirect to maintain visibility for a bit.
