13 have actually been caught...a blistering 52% completion percentage.
We really should follow other's lead. I hate doing what's best for us, over the cliff we go!
Are OC's just plug and play? You think firing an OC during the season would send NU over the cliff? You do know we have a second OC on staff, right?
Are OC's just plug and play?
Maybe it works out, maybe it doesn't. I don't think it's going to make a big positive difference this year and I think the risk of doing worse is bigger than the reward of it working out better.
There are times to fire a coordinator mid-season for sure. I'm just not certain we're there.
I could get on board with moving play calling duties now. I just have to imagine Rhule/Thomas have a HUGE hand in game prep and even calls at this point. But those screen calls say otherwise. He was hired as a CO-OC for a reason, do we normally hire OC's that are not competent?
No arguement as far as knowing if NU is there or not, but for me, I would give him one more game, then replace him. We have a second OC, that Rhule thought was good enough to be named co-oc, so use him. Maybe don't fire Satt now, but give the second guy the play calling duties to see how he does, then at the end go with the best one.
Is continuing to put Satt out there to run the same ineffective offense with the same ineffective plays really what's best for us?We really should follow other's lead. I hate doing what's best for us, over the cliff we go!

And a team that many say could win out if they play the way they did last Saturday. Which gives you a 9 win team, and you know we don't fire 9 win coaches at Nebraska.I’d also say it likely undermines what Rhule is trying to instill in the team as well.
They’re in it for the long haul and some of these guys undoubtedly have a relationship with Satterfield. You’re risking that my an in season firing for a team that’s still looking for one win to go bowling.
Evaluate it all in the off season and if you decide a change is to be made, make a smart hire that fits what we want to do.
I think we move on from Sat unless we win out and the offense looks much improved. 9 wins and next year we're likely looking at 3 new coordinators. On a side note I don't see us winning out, 2-2 might do it, 3-2 would be great.

I predict, that if NU plays defense as good as they did against OSU, we can win against UCLA, we can win against Iowa. If we don't get better play calling we won't win against USC or Wisky!
I feel like we can win 2 more with the type of offense we currently have seen, but that is it.

just curious, how does Rhule undermine himself by holding the coaches accountable? From firing during the season? Ok, I can agree with that, if that is what you meant.
