Sam Koch has changed the punting game -- and almost no one noticed
Punter Sam Koch has roughly 10 distinctly different kicks in what the Baltimore Ravens refer to as his "golf bag."
This is awesome. You rarely see a punter get this level of respect and recognition.
hard to say, where does he rank in the NFL?

Good question. Ray Guy is the only Punter currently in the HOF with 4 kickers, Morten Andersen, George Blanda, Lou Groza, Jan Stenerud.
Edit: Guy averaged 42.4 in 14 seasons.

If Sam make the Pro Football Hall of Fame, it won't be just due to stats. It'll also be largely because he changed the game for punters.
Read some of the stories linked. Sam invented punting styles for different situations -- that have been widely accepted and used by punters since. Sam had at least 10 different punts -- much like a golfer with different clubs. It allowed him to be consistently good regardless of the situation, weather, opponent, etc.

I wonder if he still ranks it the same, as the list is at least five years old. Donnie Jones last played for the Eagles in 2017 (list mentions he's currently with the Eagles).
