Rutgers Practice (9/18/17)

considering i don't know them or you...if i was tweeting your kids you would right to have them avoid me.
They are athletes. Tweeting them encouragement is not weird. If Jack hoffman got a twitter account and someone tweeted "great news" to him after he got a positive report from the Dr would that be weird? No it is just a random supportive message. My kids have never been in the public eye and my youngest is 28 so tweet away. If my grandson becomes good enough to be a D1 athlete and someone tweeted him encouragement I would not consider it weird at all.

Now If someone was tweeting and wanting to meet up with him or something like that. That would be weird. Last year when one of our players chose to kneel for the National Anthem and people sent him death threats. I tweeted him that as a veteran I might disagree with him but I supported his right to do so. He tweeted back thanking me for my support. Nothing weird about that. Just making him aware that not all fans wished him ill for his views. I have never tweeted him again. Not trying to build a relationship. just making a young man in a bad situation feel a little better. Whether I knew him or not was irrelevant. Another human being was hurting and I tried to give him a little comfort.

All the people who wrote Brooks mom after he died did not know her. Do you think that made those letters any less encouraging to her? Knowing that all of those people are mourning with you. I am sure they gave her great comfort.

In the same way letting an athlete who has just had a tough day know you still support them. I am sure it encourages them to work a little harder. Whereas negative tweets could make them fell lie he #### you.

Our offense is struggling and becoming too predictable, so they are deciding to call fewer plays?

Also, our o-line is struggling and instead of trying out some other players or different combinations, they are just going to keep running out the same group that had to get embarrassed before they decided to put in the work?
