I have a Weber Summit 600 Series grill and am considering getting a rotisserie kit for it. My questions are, does anyone have a rotisserie set up on their grill? Do you use it a lot? Should I get one?

I have one and chicken on the spit makes it more than worth it. do you have the sear feature on your grill for the spit?

I have done chickens, turkeys and prime rib all turn out great by the way. Just place a foil pan under them to catch drippings and also helps keep whatever is on the spit moist.

I bought a few rotisseries for my grill. I don't have a gas grill. You need to make sure that if you by one what the weight limit is for it. I bought one that wouldn't turn my 8 lb. turkey so had to and buy another that would. The one I currently have is for up to 40 lbs. Works great. I rotisserie a turkey every Thanksgiving. Don't put the coals directly under the bird but on the sides and put some kind of a aluminum pan under it to catch all the fat so there are no flare ups. I've also done standing rib roasts on it and a duck.

I just give Ms. King a cordless drill with a very low battery and send her out to the grill. Easy peasy.
From my experience the cordless drill works great. Be sure to get one with variable speed controls. Also the rebar used for the spit should be heavy enough to handle the weight of the meat and not too big to cause weight issues. Be sure to consider the size of your Mrs.'s guns too. I made that mistake and the beef roast got dropped on the ground. She was in tears over it, but it was my fault for buying such a large roast.

Good luck!

Also the rebar used for the spit neefs to be heavy enough to match the weight of the meat and not big of diameter for weight issues. Be sure to consider the size of your Mrs.'s guns too. I made that mistake and the beef roast got dropped on the ground.
Neefs? HAHA.... Also, why does this read like really bad foreign porn? (not that I'd actually know what really bad foreign porn is)
