Saw a video the other day (can't find it) and Roby sounded excited to play a different position. He insinuated that he was played out of position at NU out of necessity. I'll try to find it and add it.

It would be no different if he only took online courses. He could easily made arrangements with his professors to have correspondent access. I know of a few cases where lengthy absences were granted this type of class structure. Again, it is up to the discretion of the instructors.
Not saying it's impossible. Just not as easy as playing basketball only (and just doing what you have to do, not engaging in a Rocky-esque training montage until you reach the NBA).
