Rhule and staff

Minority voice here, probably only one ...... I don't really trust Trev. Trev-Scott tight buddies. Most schools fired a long time ago like 2020, not 2022. (SF)

I guess Trev has fooled me but I completely trust him. Believe he’ll someday be rated one of our very best AD’s in Nebraska history. Being good friends with someone doesn’t necessarly cloud judgement imo. All depends on the integrity of the individual which I believe Trev’s is beyond approach.

I love this strategy. Rhule is going to build up Nebraska high school coaches and create a vast network of trust. He’ll do that with open door access and providing knowledge on football concepts and practice techniques. When the Saturday wins at NU start to happen with more regularity the high school players across the state will have a more vested interest in coming to Lincoln again just like back in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s!

Rhule said he wants the Nebraska program to be a "destination" for high school coaches.

“We want to be a place that people come to," Rhule said. "We want to be a destination, people come to come talk about football. So we're 100 percent open. I tell every high school coach, like, coach, you want to come to practice? You can come anytime you want to."
Maybe open doors for Nebraska high school coaches to move up, ala Solich, Tenopir and Dan Young

I used to fly out to spend a week each spring with the Huskers during the last years of T.O.'s tenure and during Frank's. Most years we would avoid "coaches week" and would go the week before or after. My Uncle was close to Milt and George (and later Jeff J), so I had an in to visit whenever. But I also went one year during coaches week and don't remember seeing that many coaches. I could be wrong (as my age is catching up with me), but ultimately what Rhule is doing with these coaches is exactly what should have been done all along.

Starts and ends with the open door policy and creating relationships. It's no wonder why we are killing it in Texas right now. Big props to MR.

I wouldn't worry about that. Trev provided enough rope to allow Scott to hang himself. The first moment that Trev had internal buy-in, he pulled the trigger. If they were so buddy buddy, I doubt Trev would have embarrassed him by firing him a few games into the season. Maybe I'm wrong.

I remember this press conference and Scottie didn't seem to happy with Trev and since Trev wasn't AD until the 21-22 season and with our fractured fan group I believe his hands were tied that first year

You don’t have any facts to back that up. You are just making things up to create drama.

Trev was friendly and professional with Scott. Exactly what he should be. Also, he did just like he said he would and erred on the side of loyalty, not because they were tight buddies.

Tight buddies were the ones playing golf and drinking with him and Trev certainly was not doing that and wasn’t even known to be doing it in the many years before both returned to NU.

From what I understand Frost had issues with it from the start.
