Good news with the commitment of 6'3" forward Rachel Blackburn of Leavenworth Kansas. She had committable offers from Wake Forest, K-State, Texas Tech and Iowa State, and Wake made her a big priority. Rachel is a tough kid; her dad has served in Iraq, and she is an avid deer hunter. She could help us land Lanie Page, the younger sister of '14 commit Kaylee Page, as they are friends. With Jess Shepherd in the '15 class, things continue to look bright for women's basketball.

Coach Yori is really doing a nice job with recruiting. Huskers are going to be Big 10 contenders for quite some time. Hopefully they can start making runs deep into the NCAA tournament.

And possibly more good news; rumors are Lanie Page committed to Nebraska over the weekend. If true, we may be full with Shepherd, Simon, Blackburn and Page in the 2015 class. By the first of June. Unreal. There will be some unbelievable competition for playing time in the next couple of years. Connie likes to go 10 deep when she can, so that will help. She may also need to become more of a believer in the redshirt. 2014 and 2015, at least based on ratings and potential, may be the best back to back classes in program history.

Rumor had legs; Lanie Page has now tweeted that in 2015, she will be playing basketball at the University of Nebraska. Good pickup.
