Saturday was just a wonderful way to end what has been a magical regular season.
Great day for the seniors!
Great day for a youngster who had just come off Tommy John’s surgery.
Great day for a freshman who on his first at bat of the year, hit a home run and on his last at bat for the regular season year, hit a home run!
Great day for probably the league’s best player who on his final appeance at Haymarket….in front of 4300 home fans (Game 1 today had over 7400 and the three game series averaged over 5000…best in the BiG and it’s not even close) anyway, came into the game and completely snuffed a Michigan rally.
Great day for the TEAM!
And a great day which ended ANY discussion from ANYONE in the BiG on who their best team was this year.
Finally, just a great day for the state of Nebraska!
2020 was a year to forget in so many ways! This baseball team was a breath of fresh air…..and there are better days ahead!
