Just because fans don't know who a player is doesn't mean they can't be better than someone fans do know. Sometimes the most talented player isn't the most well known.
Also, EJ was very, very far from a known commodity last pre-season.
I was all on board with losing Raiola (QB) if it meant we would have a much improved Oline. Why was Johnson so great? He could make people miss with his incredible effort and moves. Why did we need incredible effort and moves? Because we had a terrible Oline. A good line will make an average back look exceptional. I like the approach we took. Got a good line coach, brought in some horses to complement what we have. Watch this video.

I’m not saying Colandrea can’t be better, or that he isn’t better. And EJ was more known than our current RBs, but again that doesn’t mean the RB room won’t prove to be better. I just think it’s more of an unknown than last year.
Being a North Carolinian, we’ve not had much success with kids from NC. Long way from home. Terry Luck was decent, but I can’t remember any other decent players from our state. Maybe Rule will be a difference maker.
