Randy Gregory

Good for him.

He seems best suited for the 'Pass rush specialist' role, rather than being an every down player, but he did play well last year.

I don't know how he's managing his anxiety issues right now, but I hope for his sake the NFL drops marijuana from it's 'banned' list. He may be 100% right now, but I'd hate to see all his hard work and perseverance be erased because of something that's legal in a lot of places and headed toward legal everywhere. He may have put that behind him though.

I agree that the marijuana ban needs to go. However, it is banned currently so I hope he can beat his apparent addiction at least for a little while, although I confess I didn't know marijuana was so addictive.

I thought he was up to somewhere around 260-270 lbs so I don't see why he couldn't be an every down defensive end? I admit haven't watched him play in some time so I don't know what his current condition is like.

It’s not addictive physically, but is more of a habit. It was his coping mechanism.

With Randy, I’m not sure his weight is the issue. He’s a guy who seems to have a hard time focusing and grinding on every play. That has improved, but I still wonder if they don’t try to limit his snaps and ‘save’ him for more passing downs.

Well pal it's not legal right now in the league and rules are rules. Maybe he needs a yoga class to get over his anxiety issues.

Before congratulating the Cowboys for "sticking by" RG look at what they're getting:\

He's basically playing at the NFL minimum ... the Cowboys get a very seasoned but physically fresh player!

Too many people think legalizing marijuana is a simple answer. Unfortunately, too many uses forget it's illegal, and a huge liability issue, for said users to be compromised or high at work or on the road. The employer's liability insurance may cover your butt for a work accident but if not, a positive accident of your fault can and will result in penalties with some being quite costly.

There is scientific debate on the addiction issue. Non- scientist puffers, like everyone else, like to just read the first sentence of headlines and not the whole research articles. While great for many medical conditions weedythc and smoke inhaled anywhere can have many negative effects on a body. No matter what your weed propagandists say science continually launches new research.
Hope Randy gets a break and gets to keep playing. Peace and GBR

No more problematic than alcohol I that regard.
