Raiola debut vs Portland State - looked good

Raiola made his debut in garbage time against Portland State. Looked good. 11 of 11 for 120+ yards.

Oregon is just a much better fit for him. They have an established, excellent O-line/program (arguably elite) and an established system. The line can keep him clean and give him time to do what he does best. Ducks line against Portland State was like Kramer vs the 12 year olds. Also has elite talent across the roster, which helps.

Much better fit, as AC is for us. 3 TD'S too it looks like. Good grief the team stats on that game are crazy. Portland St. stinks but yikes!

Portland State is 0-4. North Dakota beat them 47-23 last week

Yeah . . . they suck beyond belief. Still, you can see the talent Raiola has when he isn't worried about getting killed in the pocket. Portland State couldn't even get close. Doesn't hurt that Oregon's skill players overmatched the opponent by a wide margin

NU's line (mostly the tackles) struggled at times with the Bowling Green 4-man rush. We really needed a guy like Colandrea while Geep/Lonnie try to get the line fixed. Different talents for different situations. Both QBs probably got what they needed in the switch. GBR!

Yeah but he still took a sack when he had open recievers because he would not pull the trigger

I have no I'll will towards him and wish him the best

The B1G opponents know his weakness and will exploit them

Oregon's Oline did not play well against Boise State or OSU

I watched part of the third quarter. He is still a sack magnet and took a nasty sack on his 2nd series. Satisfied by the sack, I stopped watching his playing mop up duties against a hapless foe.

Also, his Achilles heel is man coverage. He routinely picked apart zone defenses when he can throw with timing. But everyone in the BIG quickly learned to go to zone and disrupt the timing with press coverage and his response was to eat the football.

One thing I really like about this is, at Oregon he isnt the stand out star, better for him imo.
Hopefully he can get real work on all his game

I'm sure they have a good OL coach.

You are a brave man to post this. (joking for all the panty bunchers)
I was stoked for him. He looked very ready to take over.
Honestly I hope he wins every game he ever plays except if he plays against NU.

I just saw that the score to this game was 84-0 and he came into the game when it was 49-0.

The Raiola pacification continues to live on. Who else could come into such a blowout and continue to throw the ball and then get this press?

It's time to face it that the legend we had in our heads really set the program back. From keeping on his terrible line coach of an uncle to please his family, to passing on McCord, to believing in the Baby Mahomes hype of a QB that can't run. Just shedding ourselves the entire mentality has been a win.
