Quinoa question

For those that cook quinoa, how do you know when it is done? I made some tonight, for Quinoa & Black Beans, a recipe I found on Allrecipes. I cooked it for what seems like forever, but it was never fluffy, like other sites said it would end up. Thanks in advance for any insight, or suggestions on how to best fix quinoa.

It is done when it looks like there are little curly q's from the outer shell opening. Also, letting it sit for a while after done with a lid and no heat will give you an availability to fluff it out. Similar to rice.

I love summertime, when you can see the Squatchskers come out of their lair to forage through the food forums...
