QB Anthony Colandrea UNLV Transfer Is N: Signed

I like what I am seeing with the additions. Still want to see Brix and Sledge and others play. I like the addition of Colandrea and his attitude. Let he and TJ battle it out.

What I still want to see still. A big RB (maybe that is Ives?). I think Nelson could be a player. Too early to tell on Mozee.

Two huge DT. A middle LB that is a ball hawk. Shavers? Merritt?

That being said...yesterday was a blast....

But, he was extremely average the prior two years at Virginia, he's a little small at 6'0", and he's going to be a senior so one and done.

Glad to have him, sure shouldn't break the NIL budget, but I'm not convinced he's a lock to beat out Lateef. TJ was nowhere near ready to play in 2025 but that doesn't mean he won't ever be. Colandrea was easily better that Lateef last year but may not have as high a ceiling.

Competition in the MWC is definitely a step down but he was VASTLY improved on his turnovers this past year. Have to think the coaching from Dan Mullen was a factor in that improvement. Can that carry over for us in a much harder conference? I certainly hope so. You can't teach wheels like he has and that will always give us a little different dynamic.

Both need to get into early games just for the experience. Because if recent history means anything, we will need them both before next season is completed.
 
Obviously, nothing is ever certain in the stupid new world of college football. Will he sign? Will he be worth whatever they are paying him? Etc. But, assuming he signs, at least on paper, I love everything about this so much more than Minchey! Guess time will tell, however.
 
Read on a local sports fb post he signed in the range of 2.2million. Went back for a screen shot and couldn’t find it so take it for what you will.

I would be shocked if spent that kind of money here, but maybe we didn't want him second guessing anything on his way out of town. Tbh, I would hope they swing for the fences with a few DL here shortly. Texas Tech is grabbing everyone they possibly can.

I thought Nelson looked pretty good in the bowl game and I think Mozee has some shake and bake moves that provides a good combination for a change of pace and I es as the third down/goal line back.
