Purdue Week Practice Thread: 26 Sept Coach Rhule

I suspect Illinois is going to give Penn State all they want. They are a good team. Purdue hasn’t found their way yet. We ARE a better them than we have been in a really long time.
We're much better overall on offense, but something is off about the defense. Bad angles, missed tackles, guys running wide open in the secondary. I'm not sure what it is, but we're missing something there.

If I am going to make a guess, I would say they have been listening a little too much about how good they are. Which happens it happens in the pro game too.

Trust me they will be focused for Purdue.

You got to give Illinois a lot of credit. That quarterback, Altmeyer, was very average last year. He has played really well this year not just against Nebraska.

I expect them to come out hungry

He's good for sure, but the running game was too good for them as well. I thought after NI, we would come back hungry. We showed poorly, IMO, on defense against them. At least we showed where our weaknesses were and I suspected that would be cleaned up some. Illinois just beat us, flat whipped us on the line. Maybe too many eggs in the CU basket? Tony needs to get the boys back to being humble, back to the CU mean/angry mode.

I was camped out on the usual link to the press conference on huskers.com for a while, then I got dropped and got a 404 error. Now when I navigate back to it, it's no longer there.

Maybe they are having technical difficulties? Or it was postponed?
