I get what you are saying, but their just might not be another guy. I do wish they would have tried something else instead of trying to have a RB covered by a LB or a WR covered by a LB. Some dime stuff may have helped, but if you haven't practiced it heavily during the week it may be hard to go with.
I don't watch a lot of Pro football, but on the Sunday night game the packers were exploiting the exact same thing with the Chiefs. They were splitting their RB out wide and a LB was trying to cover him. It was a miss match that Green Bay was taking all day long.
Maybe it was stubbornness on Chins part I don't know. I remember watching live at the Rose Bowl as Nebraska's slow linebackers were chasing UCLA RB on crossing patterns all night in 2012 I believe and BP not trying something different. I also remember BP never wanting to commit to putting a safety down in the box against Wisconsin because it would weaken his pass defense. That was stubborn.
Football is football. I really don't think they are leaving the best guys on the bench.

I would love nothing more than him to succeed here, I am just not sure he will without some type of help. Whether it is better players (no duh) or someone to come help him a little bit. I posted in another thread about Dick Lebeau, half joking and half not joking, maybe he could go pick his brain for a summer. Something needs to be done I am just not sure what.

Whatever happens to Gary Darnell (I believe that was his name) that was defensive coordinator at A&M who was a consultant here a couple yrs ago? I dont think he was used much by Diaco. But he was supposed to be defensive guruJust from the people that have no say so, myself included.
