Let's hope he reaches his potential here because he failed in Bama. Like someone already stated, he reminds me of Gilbert.

Here are the numbers according to ProFootball Focus:
Player/rank/grade

Benhart/104/73.5
Gottula/375/60.5
Scott/160/63.4
Evans/107/69.7

Now I suspect that PFF also isn’t perfect. But I also suspect that they were watching the same games that you were. Benhart was our highest graded offensive lineman in 2024. Now I’m not saying that he played well his first two years. He didn’t. He took his lumps. But he developed into a very serviceable offensive lineman, really the highest graded lineman that we had. And he was the most consistent. I think he has a chance to get drafted. That’s what I saw this year. Maybe your memory of previous years is killing your objectivity.

Sorry he is not going to sniff the NFL! I am not disputing he was our highest graded lineman. Our line play improved later in year after we got better playcalling yes. I remember so many times Benhart got pushed all the way back to the qb on bull rushes. All the times he gave up critical sacks by just whiffing at a pass rusher.

Every OL gets beat sometimes. Statistically speaking, he got beat less than his teammates did and he got beat less than most OTs in college football.
