Will not red shirt from all accounts BUT to much to ask as a day one starter
With that being said will not be on campus until May
Until the staff sees him up close in practice of course everything is up in the air
With the portal and NIL these days highly rated players will be put on the field as early as possible to contribute and figure it out on the fly unless they just cannot hold their own at all.
It's too much of a risk to redshirt or leave on the bench hoping for growth from the player as they will just leave at the end of the year and someone else will reap the rewards of your coaching them up.
With NIL you are paying them so might as well get some Return On Investment while they are on campus
