I agree the ‘95 Huskers are waaaay too low. Surprised by the ‘71 Huskers ranking.
Realistically I think the ‘19 LSU team and the ‘01 Canes team deserves to be #1 and #2 in some form. After that it’s game on.
The 01 Canes needed a miracle to be Va Tech, if i recall correctly. They may have had a lot of talent, but as a team, not so much, imo

38 members of Miami were drafted into the NFL
The team averaged 42.6 ppg while giving up only 9.7 ppg.
They had 6 players earn All-American honors.
They were beating Nebraska 34-0 in the Rose Bowl. Winning 37-14.
V-Tech game was close …. 2 point win. But Miami was winning 20-3 and VTech made it close Miami was only at risk of the game being tied near the end.
Miami beat 4 ranked teams.
NOW he recognizes UNLV?

I was thinking Va Tech had the lead late. Maybe not? But they showed the Canes were beatable
I believe the 95 Huskers TROUNCED 4 Top Ten teams, and trailed just once during the season, to Washington State, for a couple minutes of game time.
