Post Your Archery Deer 2021

Buddy of mine sent this to me, said they are starting to move. @Redleg how's the movement for you today? I saw 5 this am no bucks. Last group was 9:30 heading to their beds. Pressure was 30.39 this morning and should remain high throughout the week. Deer Cast says this afternoon/evening should be great. I don't follow them much but a buddy always tells me.

I'm seeing decent deer movement but not really much rut activity except a fork horn following a doe yesterday. He was just lagging behind, but not tending or chasing.

This morning I had a decent buck in my shooting lane early. It was right at legal shooting but with the overcast skies it was too dark to see him well enough to determine if he was a "this years" deer or next years. Couldn't have gotten a pin on him in that low light anyway. Looked like a typical 8, not nearly as impressive as the deer porn you're posting, but decent. He was just browsing along.

Also saw a lone doe and a lone spike. I don't think I'm going to make it out tonight, but supposed to be 34* with light winds in the morning so I'll be in a stand. Going to sit a different part of the property tomorrow where I put out some minerals a few days ago that is closer to the bedding area.

Pressure tonight is sky high and predicted to be great hunting. I've been in since 2 and it's kinda chilly.

This morning I think that same buck I couldn't get a good look at in the dark yesterday showed up again only earlier. I had just slipped into my stand and was hanging my gear hanger when I heard him walking in. I went dead still and he didn't bust me. Later 2 does on the neighbor's property trotted over and hopped the fence onto my property. They were looking back so I thought for sure a buck was behind them. Nope. They browsed at 15yds from my stand and then circled behind me. 20 minutes later a young (probably 2.5yr old) 6 point buck with no brow tines came from behind me with his nose in the air. When he hit the trail the does were on his head dropped and he turned and followed. Now is definitely the time to be using scent drags.

Long story to say I still haven't harvested anything. Seeing deer, but not any bucks I'm excited about. Does get to walk in hopes they bring in a shooter. Still, great to just be in a tree this time of year.

Barometric pressure still north of 30, you guys hunting should see some decent action this morning. I had a buck on camera yesterday at 11:13 am never seen him before.

The deer I've seen on camera this last week are out at all times of day, but with no consistency. The biggest ones are still out only at night.

I had a bunch walk by me this morning before it was light enough to see well enough, then a half dozen in the first half hour after sunrise. None of those closer than 100 yards, though. Try again in a couple hours.

Good luck, I'm sitting around being bored. Too hot to hunt a doe, thinking about hunting Missouri for a week.
