Purdue just got hit hard with 4 entry's:
Chloe Chicoine (Sophomore Outside Hitter): A two-time All-Big Ten selection and third-team All-American as a freshman. 22 kills against NU this year (Would look great in Husker red)

Eva Hudson (Junior Outside Hitter): A star player with a .287 hitting percentage and 4.81 kills per set in the 2024 season, Hudson was named Midwest Region Player of the Year and earned All-Big Ten first-team honors.

Lourdes Myers (Redshirt Sophomore Middle Blocker): With one year of eligibility remaining, Myers appeared in 21 matches in the 2024 season, averaging 1.12 kills and 0.9 blocks per set while hitting .301.

Lizzie Carr (Redshirt Sophomore Middle Blocker): Carr, a 6-foot-6 middle blocker, played in 40 matches over two seasons,

Chloe and Eva would make our roster sound so sexy ............for sure! ;)

I watched the Cook interview and there was a lot of talk about the portal. So I decided to check and found the article about Purdue losing so many. I also noticed one site that showed Texas with 4 in the portal, but I'm not sure if any were starters.

Also during the Cook interview where someone asked him about the portal, the guy asking the question kind of talked like Nebraska might be looking at someone to add from the portal. Cook didn't saying anything one way or the other on that.

Cook really wants to build from within but thinks using the portal can be useful if the team needs some help. I think the incoming class is a near mirror of the 2023 group. Harper and Skyler will play like bookends ... you heard it here:) first. With five graduating and five inbound . . .

Looking like Kentucky is the most likely destination for the OHs from Purdue.

I think it is tough for the schools still alive in the tournament to do much on the portal front. Creighton looks to be adding at least one good player.

A solid experienced opposite might be useful.
Yep. I will be surprised if Cook doesn't try and pick up at least one experienced opposite. As of right now, our only opposite for next year will be a true freshman who is recovering from a major injury and hasn't played in a year. That position is a major question mark for next year.

If he can't find anyone acceptable in the portal, Cook may move one of our outsides (either Pierce or Landfair) over to the right side. I think that would be a good move because we have a freshman OH coming in next year named Teraya Sigler who is a dynamite player. I won't be surprised if Sigler wins one of the starting OH positions. Just my opinion, but I think a starting lineup of OH1 Murray, OH2 Sigler, and OPP Landfair would be a fantastic lineup.

Still like to see Eva Hudson in our line-up

With Murray, Landfair, Pierce and Sigler, no way we would add an OH like Hudson or Chicone. We made a run at the lefty opposite from Miami — Lopez — but she chose Wisconsin. As of now, I don’t think the portal had/has any other opposite NU is interested in. The May window may cause a change, but right now it looks like The Huskers will not take a transfer — unless they get transfers out after spring. The competition for opp will likely be incoming frosh Hunter, and one of the current OHs.

Replying to myself, apparently Stafford of Pitt has surprised everyone and entered the portal. I am not suggesting Nebraska is a possible destination, but a first team all American 6 rotation OH will cause every team in the country to check on her interest.
