A few thoughts:
- Did I hear Frost say that the team didn’t receive the signal correctly for the play he intended on the ill-fated drive that ended with McCaffrey’s interception? Maybe at least some of the questionable play-calling was not really the play calling.
- Its fair to let the grades in practice objectively determine the starter at QB. But I would think the grades in the actual game are far heavier weights. And don’t you need to determine who is getting the first team snaps and the best preparation? When people say you don’t really have any QBs in a 2-quarterback system, I think this is the main issue they’re talking about. You’ve got to give the starter the best opportunity to prepare to win the game.
