I rarely watch anything on Peacock except sporting events. I recently received a renewal notice informing me that my annual subscription will increase from 79.99 to 109.99. I decided that I couldn't justify that large an increase to watch a limited number of events and decided to cancel. I logged in, began the cancellation process and once I completed it I immediately was offered an annual renewal at the special rate of 59.99.

At 59.99 I'm in, at 109.99, not so much. To save some cash, cancel, then renew.

Congrats on getting the savings…the power of hitting the cancel button!!

I hit cancel in May and was immediately offered a $39.99 renewal. The previous two years it was $19.99.

I have been carrying it the last two years as well. I think I am 60/year. They have a couple of good shows a year and a husker game or two. Hard to get rid of at such a good price

Try the cancel trick at the end of your term and see what the “don’t leave us” offer is. For us it immediately comes up on the next screen.

just like the cable companies.........
 
reminds me honestly of SiriusXM... raise raise raise, go to cancel and they start throwing out the $5.99 per month bs, i'm like if you just keep it there, i would stay with you.. not going through the yearly routine of this anymore.. Good bye..

Competition is a good thing, that and having a back up plan.
Sometimes no back up plans can happen, so the competition gets thrown back to the customer.
 
It’s just month to month. I subscribe when there is an event I want to see, then cancel right away. I remember paying $20 for a pay per view game, so this is a lot cheaper for a month.

$29 or $39. The last Husker PPV, Nebraska at Fresno St (I think)

I feel like I'm in the minority that actually watches Peacock regularly. I do think it is funny how fast some companies are to discount you when you try to leave. Shows how much they're exploiting you.
